Nicky's Beach
The original was a commissioned piece for a longtime design client of mine. We were doing a total remodel of a home on the beach. It is a 30x48 oil on stretched canvas and is now hanging in their home in Del Mar. It is named after my brother. Halfway into painting Nicky’s Beach I received a phone call from my brother Nick who has been one of my biggest supporters of my art. ( He has had oil paintings I painted when I was in junior high and high school hanging in his home for years! ) We began talking and I continued painting and approximately 2 hours later we were still talking and I had completed the painting. He was such an inspiration that day. I told him his heart and soul are in the painting. Nicky’s Beach is the first of 3 similar originals that are hanging in client’s homes.
